Dry Cleaners Directory

If you haven't explored the world of online Mailing-lists and Bulletin Boards you're missing a bunch of valuable information. A mailing-list is an online group you join and each email any subscriber of that list sends is automatically sent out to every member. These can get overwhelming in a hurry as they can produce 50 to 75 emails in a day. But a great one is the Fabricare Forum at Yahoo Groups.
Discussions are open to any topic or issue of interest to
members of the drycleaning industry. That covers a broad range, everything
from business management, employee and customer relations, marketing and public
relations to cleaning technology and techniques, garment problems, computer
systems and government regulations -- just to name a few. You can share information
about your plant operations, ask questions, give answers or debate and discuss
key issues facing our industry. Who Qualifies? To be eligible to subscribe
to the Fabric Care Group E- Mail List you must be either a fabric care plant
owner, plant operator, employee who works in a plant, or person who is in
the listed allied trades who calls on and services or sells merchandise to
fabric care plants. We accept limited subscriptions from technical people
outside our industry who can contribute information of benefit to us. This
group has 977 members (January 2004) in the industry and provides some great
discussions. There is a digest mode available, in digest you'll receive one
long message a day instead of 50 or more individual messages. You can also
read it online.
A new Group to be aware of is the Fabricare Forum Bulletin Board. With this group you can browse all the messages at their website and if you want to post to one of the bulletin boards you'll need to register. This type of group is easier to manage as you can visit it when you have spare time, and it's divided up into easy to manage topics.
